Today, I’m taking myself (and you) back our lovely trip to Spain last year with some wine tasting from the Wines of Garnacha! With Fall right around the corner, I’ve been craving some hot chocolate, so I decided to make a spiced red wine hot chocolate with some Wines of Garnacha! It’s hot chocolate with an adult twist. I fell in love with these wines and having been to Spain, they hold an extra special place in my heart so why not combine two comforts for a delicious and cozy beverage for the Fall? This spiced hot chocolate is the perfect addition to Fall and a fun way to celebrate #Garnachaday any time of the year!
Spiced Red Wine Hot Chocolate

- Combine all of the dry ingredients in a mixing bowl. Add the condensed milk, wine, and whole milk to the dry ingredients. In a large pot, heat over the stove on medium high (constantly stirring) until you start to see the steam coming off. Be sure not to let it boil. Pour in your favorite mug! As an option you can top with marshmallows, cinnamon, and shaved chocolate. Snuggle up by a fire and enjoy!

Now you have this yummy recipe, let’s talk a minute about Wines of Garnacha. I always like to have a little bit of history of wines. Learning is fun, plus it makes you sound like a serious connoisseur when you can mention that these wines were originally from the eastern part of Spain and are now taking on the role of a varietal wine (that means it’s made primarily from a single name grape). Watch out Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, wines of Garnacha are making their mark.
