One of the breakfast places we decided tho try while on our vacation during a Memorial week. A little disappointed by the price for breakfast, a little pricey for eggs, that is why losing a star. Our order came to around $25. Breakfast did came out fresh and hot. Service was ok. My husband ordered the Kahuna ( two eggs, 2 small slices of bacon, and 4 halve pieces of French toast), I ordered two scrambled eggs, with corn beef hash, came with hash browns and toast, and we both ordered a cup of coffee.
Great food with great portions! The service was pretty good. They are very efficient when seating you, taking down your order, and the delivery of your food. This is not a 5 star rating due to the cramped seating arrangement.
Horrible customer service. Overgrown weeds outside. Hostess sat two parties ahead of us that walked in the front door after telling us to wait outside, her attire could have been better. Waiter didn’t introduce himself and was just very robotic. Food was good. Better places in the area that have way better customer service.
This place is a must visit restaurant for breakfast! I ordered “The Mess” & my friends had the “Chesapeake Sarah” and the food is amazing! My family always eat here when we visit OC & we’re never disappointed
Awful service! Didn’t get my house speciality coffee (way too sweet, I’d rather have a McCafe!) until I was finished my meal. I thought, at least, the server would offer to take it off the check… nope. I gave them 2 stars only because the French toast was remarkable. Even still, it was not worth it. Go elsewhere.
The food was just that, food. Completely meh. Here’s what gets them only two stars. Using the excuse that it’s the off season to explain why you’re out of things is unacceptable. You’re out of milk so your coffee selection is greatly reduced? Then walk over to the convenience store and get some. Out of cheese? Go get some. And it’s not that they ran out – they opened up with none, and continued through the day with none. The final blow was when the waitress told another table that she couldn’t make change for them paying their check with two twenties, that it would wipe out her change in the till. When the hope of a huge tip suddenly disappeared with their glares, another waiter suddenly appeared with change. A cash only business should be prepared to make change. Staff should be cashing out their small bills on the regular in order to keep the till stocked. This place isn’t worth a return visit under any circumstances.
I was not pleased with the customer service. We came in with a party of 8 and they told us we couldn’t sit together unless we wanted to wait. We said no biggie we can split up. As we walked in there were 2 tables open right next to each other. They refused to put the tables together because they belonged to different waitresses. Seems like a silly rule not to accommodate their customers. I ordered a egg breakfast that came with pancakes. My “pregnant” wife and I like to share our meals and she wanted banana walnut pancakes. I asked the server to make my pancakes banana walnut and she told me there are no substitutes. Adding walnuts to my pancakes isn’t a substitute, it’s an addition. It’s like adding cheese to your eggs. I wouldn’t call that a substitute. I would have to order a separate order of pancakes to get banana walnuts. Why not charge me accordingly for my request and make the customer happy. It would be a win win for both. Breakfast was good and waitress was good. Management is not customer friendly and makes it difficult for me to come back. Don’t like feeling frustrated when I’m a paying customer.
Love this spot. This has become a must visit place for my future travels to Ocean City. It is an adorable little restaurant with some awesome food! They have a great selection of food, the place is very spacious with outdoor seating options, and the workers are very sweet. Check out this spot if you’re at the beach!!
Bad customer service and average food. Not someplace to go. Lots of other places at the beach, that care about customers.
The Satellite on 46th is a solid example of a great OCMD diner with a peppering of flair to set it above the rest. They’ve got a ton of great morning combos that will break your fast but not your wallet. I got the SOB (sausage gravy and biscuits) and the girlfriend got a breakfast croissant sando. Both were excellent. The gravy on mine was a bit spicy and heavy in the pepper, but it had large chunks of sausage to balance the flavor out. We also shared a Satellite Shakerato, basically just a fancy vanilla amaretto lattee. It too was totally bomb. I’d definitely come back just to dive into the coffee / lattee menu.
Party of four seated portion of establishment with no A/C at 11am in August. Customer service was sub par with no accommodation with menu items. For example wanted to order 1/2 grapefruit and advised they don’t have any and are out of all fruit options. Ordered Love Boat- it was okay. The prices are reasonable. We will NOT be revisiting this restaurant. Sticky table and had to request silverware. Also requested another cup of coffee due to while waitress pouring coffee, yellow film starting forming around the edges.
Never had a bad meal here in 50 years. Best Canadian bacon we’ve ever had. Great sausage and omelettes too. Pancake roll ups are my favorite dish. Cool art on the walls and a great staff completes the experience.
